The first few years we were married, we went to a lot that sold trees where you could cut them down yourself. After a couple of years of sap leaking all over our carpet, I bagged this idea and we bought a beautiful full artificial tree that I loved, but was such a pain to set up. After quite a few years of my husband complaining about stringing lights (even though he is so awesome at it), we gave in a couple years ago and got rid of the tree I loved and got a prelit one.
